An 1896 3/4 leather authorized copy of Charles Darwin's Coral Reefs. The book is solid. No writing in the text. A slight edge tear from when two pages were separated on first reading at page 58/9 These old red leather Appleton's are beautiful but notorious for the leather peeling or bleeding.

1900 Geological Observations by Charles Darwin 3/4 leather Appleton Good+ 3rd ed
A nice 3/4 leather 1900 3rd edition of this popular Darwin classic. The covers and binding are sound and there is virtually no foxing. I think it's a little to worn on the covers for a VG. The corner tabs do show a bit of board popping through and I'd call that a Good attribute.

This is a Burt publication of Darwin's Origins of Species. The interior is also very clean and bright for a century old book. These Burt publications were printed between 1891 and 1901 but undated.
